A free breakfast seminar on marketing techniques is running next week for anyone who’s self-employed or starting out in business in Reading.
The two hour session at RISC, on Wednesday 25th June, covers targeted marketing, competitor profiling and publicity.
The event is being hosted by Victoria Groulef, who runs a business and is Labour’s parliamentary candidate in Reading West, and it will be run by Shuet Han Tsui from Snow Goose Consulting.
Tea, coffee and breakfast pastries will be provided free of charge and the topics are designed to get people to think about the where, who, what and why before spending money on the how.
Victoria said: “Marketing is such an important part of business but I’ve had people tell me they don’t know where to start and that money worries rule out expensive workshops or professional help.
“I believe politicians need to take an active role in the community and to make sure businesses are getting the support they need to become success stories, that’s why I’m rolling up my sleeves and getting stuck in with seminars like these and I hope people will find the time to come and join us.”
