John Prescott visits Brighton Kemptown

This week former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott visited Labour South East candidates Nancy Platts and Peter Kyle.

The group went on a tour of the Albion’s Community Stadium, which Mr Prescott had approved the construction of under the last Labour government.

During the visit he answered questions from local primary school students who were there as part of an award for recent maths results.

Afterwards, both John Prescott and Nancy Platts went canvassing in Brighton Kemptown, where they meet with residents and discussed local issues.

Speaking afterwards, Nancy Platts, Labour’s candidate for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven said:

“It was great to have someone like John come to Brighton given his personal connection with the Albion, having signed off on the building of the Falmer Stadium; and the local children seemed to really enjoy quizzing him.”
