Peter Kyle grew up in West Sussex and moved to Brighton & Hove in 1996. Peter went to university, co-founded a video production company, was a trustee of Pride for three years, and is now governor at two schools in the area.
Peter has worked in the charity sector and has experience as an aid worker in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, he carried out work under the leadership and mentorship of Anita and Gordon Roddick, co-founders of The Body Shop. This work took Peter to places like Romania, Albania, Bosnia and Kosovo throughout the troubled period of the 1990s.
Peter was the first in his family to attend university. In 2006 he became a special advisor to The Cabinet Office, primarily working on social exclusion policy.
